Lighting – VFS Projects
This was my final lighting assignment at VFS. My task involved choosing a visual target and matching the lighting in it. I chose a parking lot scene from battlefield 3. To achieve the result I leveraged Unreal Engine 3’s DX11 feature set through custom shaders made by me. Lighting this scene was quite a challenge and I enjoyed every bit of it.
Below are a few more samples of my lighting work that I did as a part of the level design course at VFS using Unreal. I spent a lot of time iterating on the Fog, post process and lighting to achieve the desired mood and feel I was going for while designing my levels. I also created custom materials, models and particle fx where needed to make certain objects pop more and enhance the atmosphere.
